Bathtime fun :-)

Todd gave Avery his bath tonight and had some fun playing with his hair. It is finally getting long enough that we can play with it again. Although, it will be getting trimmed tomorrrow by Grandma.

Supplement to Couch explorations

I wasn't able to get a picture of it, but Avery was able to get himself up on the couch tonight by crawling over his chair. He was soo proud of himself when he got up there. It was awesome. Just thought I would add this little note that he had success with his attempts. :)

A decision finally. :)

Todd and I have been talking for a couple of months now trying to figure out a name for the new baby. I have been having some trouble believing that we are actually having another baby so soon. But I thought that if we decided on a name it would help to make it a little bit more real. So this weekend we decided that before the end of the weekend we would have a name picked out. One of Todd's patient's lent us a book that had 50,000 names from all around the world in it. Let me tell you, there are some wierd names out there!! Anyway, we finally came to an agreement on what his name will be. Kaeden Joe Garyson. We are so super excited for this new little spirit to join our family. Only 11 weeks left! Crazy!

Couch explorations

On Saturday Todd and I were sitting in the living room with Avery. He has a chair that he likes to play on that was pushed up next to the couch. I was on the computer and when I looked over, this is what I found:

He was trying so hard to get onto the couch, but kept having mishaps and getting distracted by the TV.

Todd was encouraging him to keep trying.

He almost had it at this point.......

But to no avail!!

He decided after the last fall and having his leg get suck, he was done trying for the day.

A little update on us.

I know, that I only ever blog about Avery, and never about Todd and I. So, here is a little update on us. We are doing well, my pregnancy is moving along good. It is crazy how fast it is going by. Todd is struggling a little bit at work, because he is very overwhelmed with his patient load currently. But other than that life is going very well. We recently signed our lease, so we will be here in Las Vegas until this time next year. We are excited to see what this new year will bring. Our biggest project right now is getting organized for the new baby. We are fitting very well right now in our apartment, but I am not sure where we will be able to fit another baby!!! It is a very good thing in my opinion, because now, we have a reason to go through and downsize our stuff! I figure some of the stuff we are holding on to has been in boxes since we moved into the apartment, and some of it since we got married 3 years ago, so we have done fine without it that long, why continue to hold on to it. I am hoping that Todd will feel the same way. It just makes it easier if I don't have to constantly push him. Anyway, enough about Todd and I. I just want to say how grateful I am for the many things that the Lord sees fit to bless me with. Especially my family, both immediate and extended. I love all of you! I am also grateful for the wonderful friends that we have. The one thing the Lord has truly blessed us with is Avery. He is such a special spirit. Everyday he makes me laugh with the things he is learning and doing. I am soo very grateful for him and this new baby we are going to be blessed with.

Who is that baby in the mirror?

The other day Avery was playing with one of his toys that is a mirror. I think he is trying to figure out who is in the mirror. Too funny.

I was at Gary and Nelda's today cleaning and organizing things and came across this picture of Todd @ age 1. It is amazing how much he looks like Avery.

Fun with food

When we went shopping the other day, we bought a couple of little entrees for Avery to try. I tried to feed him one today and he got a hold of the edge of it and dumped peas, carrots, and macaroni and cheese on his tray. I decided to let him have at it and see if any would make it into his mouth. Here are a couple pictures of the results.

Avery woke up in a funny mood yesterday and was making all kinds of funny faces for the camera. Here are a couple of the pictures that I got. He is such a funny boy!!

Late Christmas Present

Nonna and Pappa Butler sent Avery a Christmas present. They had a hard time finding a box to ship it in, so it is a little bit late getting here. We love it though. Here are a couple of pictures.

It is a super fun rocking horse, that when you push on the ear it neighs and it's head and tail move. Avery isn't completely sure of it yet, but I am sure he will love it.

For New Years Eve this year, we had some of the young marrieds from the ward over for a party. It was pretty low-key, but we had a lot of fun. We found a pizza company in town that makes a colossal pizza. This thing is HUGE!!!! Here are a couple of pictures of it. We hope that
